Nonna's Euro-American ristorante and bar shopping, dining and drinks under one eclectic roof!
Located at Oklahoma City’s Bricktown in an eclectic refurbished warehouse—Nonna’s Euro-American Ristorante and Bar offers elegant dining, private party suites and a fabulous purple bar. Owner, Avis Scaramucci grew up balancing Middle American culture with her Italian roots and tradition. Her mother, Nonna was known among their family and friends as an amazing baker, she passed along her recipes and talents to Avis. At a young age Avis loved cooking, gardening and decorating.
By 1991, Avis was sharing her passions with the world in her store, the Painted Door Gallery. Painted Door offered antiques, decorative accessories, home furnishings, gourmet food items, bath and body care and a wide variety of collectibles. Then, in 1995 Avis expanded her offerings to include a small bakery which became a popular spot in Oklahoma City for pastries and later for lunch. By 2005, the loyal following had grown and it seemed that anything Avis touched would turn to gold. So, she expanded once again moving the Painted Door and the bakery into the rapidly growing entertainment district, Bricktown.
Once the businesses had settled into the 3-story, 22,000 square-foot space; the bakery was renamed Nonna’s Euro-American Ristorante and Bar and a full menu of dinner entrées were added. On the menu you’ll find appetizers, salads, soup, pasta and a wide variety of wood fire grilled steaks including the bacon wrapped classic filet, ribeye, New York strip, prime rib and top sirloin.
Many local artisans are featured in the Bricktown location décor of Nonna's and the Painted Door including plaster mouth-blown glass fixtures, mural and wall paintings. The large formal dining areas offer a contemporary and artistic elegance that makes your dining experience superb. Then, upstairs on the second floor is the Purple Bar—a completely purple lounge with whimsical décor and a variety specialty drink selections. Finally, on the third floor of the building there are several banquet and private party suites that are great for celebrations, business meetings, lavish events and receptions. The third floor rooms can accommodate groups of ten to forty guests and features a private bar and two private patios.
The bakery portion of Nonna’s is still around and features more than three dozen delicious desserts that are made fresh daily. You’ll find the bakery located just outside the doors of the main restaurant. Feast your eyes and indulge your sweet tooth on the variety of cakes including chocolate rum, carrot, Italian crème and coconut. Or, if it’s cookies you prefer select from peanut butter, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, and chocolate chip.
