Oklahoma City's Adventure District: let the fun begin!



Located in northeast Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Adventure District offers exciting attractions including the Remington Park, Amateur Softball Association National Softball Hall of Fame Museum, the National Cowboy and Western Museum, Oklahoma City Zoo, Science Museum Oklahoma and Tinseltown USA. There’s a ton of fun to be had by the whole family in Oklahoma City—all attractions are centrally located at the crossroads of I-35 and I-44. All bets are a go at Remington Park where you can bet on live and simulated horse races or gamble in the casino—offering more than 27,000 square feet of gaming fun with 750 machines. Improve your betting skills by attending the Winning 101 seminars and then cash in on the many special events and gaming tournaments. Remington Park is located at One Remington Place and admission is free. All ages are welcome at the Park, but you must be 18 or older to enter the casino.

The Amateur Softball Association National Softball Hall of Fame Museum serves as the official collection of memorabilia dedicated to preserving the memory of former softball players who have had exceptional careers, contributions and significant achievements. The museum is located at 2801 NE 50th Street and is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.. Admission prices range from $3 for children and $6 for adults.

Founded in 1955, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum offers America’s largest collection of Western art, artifacts, educational programs and research. The Museum offers many rotating exhibits and events throughout the year that showcase local and national celebrations of western culture.  The museum is located at 1700 NE 63rd Street and is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission prices range from $6 for children and $13 for adults.

At the Oklahoma City Zoo, let your animal instincts run wild as you explore the animal exhibits, rides, and other hands-on learning programs. You can take a ride on the Safari Tram—a narrated tour through the zoo. One of the newest additions to the zoo is the Children’s area where pint sized visitors can splash in the waterway or swing like a squirrel monkey. The zoo is located at 101 NE 50th Street and is open daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission prices are $4 for children and $7 for adults.

Fun enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy exploration in abundance at the Science Museum Oklahoma with many hand-on learning stations located throughout the museum. Then, watch a film on the Omni Theater and learn about the night’s sky in the Planetarium. The Science Museum Oklahoma is located at 2100 NE 52nd Street and is open daily. Admission prices range from $9 for children to $11 for adults (+3 for dome theater shows).

Finally, enjoy a movie on the big screen at Tinseltown USA—located at 6001 Martin Luther King Blvd. Visit the Tinseltown website for current show times and to purchase tickets. Grab some popcorn and drinks from the concession stand and enjoy!
